  •  Integrative Arts Psychotherapist

I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) and gained an MA Integrative Arts Psychotherapy. I am registered with the  United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP)

I have worked in the NHS, local authority, voluntary sector, and private practice and have many years experience of working with young people and adults.

My therapeutic practice is based around the awareness that we are intrinsically and primarily relational beings. Our very sense of who we are, our identity, is formed by our relationships with others.

What better way of finding more about ourselves than in relationship to someone who is non judgemental, uncritical, accepting but also gently challenging? The therapeutic relationship is a safe and unique opportunity to creatively explore our beliefs about ourselves and our relationship to the world around us.

Creativity is an invaluable tool in this process, for without it we are often stuck in habitual ways. Together we will playfully try out various ways of exploring your life. Seeing and responding in a new light might open up new and alternative ways of being and relating. The emphasis is on exploration and creating new understanding, not on the production of 'art'. There is room for laughter and tears, play and creativity, hard work and gentleness.
